Press Release:

How can this possibly be written, with a limit on the word allocation for a press-release; When there is so much history, so many big names, so much talent and a combination of your favourite punk rock & ska bands all playing under the same intimate ceiling…

The 2013 Hits & Pits Touring Mini-Festival proudly presented and brought to you by Collateral Manage Co & Bombshellzine – will take aim on Australia in March & April. Collecting the cities of Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth along the way.

This tour will drag Solvang, California’s Mad Caddies from the recording studio to headline and garnish the event with their intense & fun-loving form of ska, punk, polka & reggae music. You’ve seen them before; you love what you’ve seen. It will be a chance to get gnarly as this 7 piece triumphantly conquers Australia yet again.

Having called a hiatus back in 2007, It always seemed unlikely of punk/hardcore fans ever re-gaining the chance to see legendary Santa Cruz locals Good Riddance, live on our Australian shores again. Hold the Press; eat those words, Good Riddance WILL be returning for all dates. Wipe that dust of those GR discs, jog your memory of these political protests and personal struggle soundtracks, unless you are like us and you never stopped listening! Which we know is the case…

The far from Cliché Quintet, outta New Bedford, Massachusetts; A Wilhelm Scream, Not only front the wave of the new melodic hardcore sound, but also bring the pace, the party, the riffs and the harmonies to continually change the face and revitalise a genre desperately requiring an engaging and powerful performance.

Who Do Voodoo? We Do! Exactly. Riverside California, 1989, 3 brothers grab a few musicians’ form a ska/punk band and name themselves the Voodoo Glow Skulls. Australia 2013, 24 years of playing music together, VGS return to grace this land and perform for their allegiance of fans.

From the country of Justin Bieber, Terrance and Phillip & Poutine, and definitely becoming Australia’s most beloved constant visitors, back by popular demand, we bring you The Flatliners. Playing their array of punk and ska tunes. If you catch the guys wandering through the crowd, be sure to congratulate the young fella’s on already reaching a decade of playing together as a unit… crazy.

Diesel Boy haven’t toured Australia in a long time. I mean, a l-o-n-g time. So this opportunity is sweet. Diesel Dave his acoustic guitar = flashbacks of a better time, and a damn good chance to hold a drink up high, chill in the beer garden and singalong to the fun, perverted and familiar songs provided.

Certainly involved in the Hits & Pits Festival is the parade and pride of Australian local talent. Of course there are locals, of course it’s our best acts. Scotte Woods of One Dollar Short, strumming his 6 string, singing the songs we all miss, and we are now (fresh off a tour with ) being re-acquainted thank god. Jamie Hay and are involved, stoked. One has a beard, one you will fall in love with...Totally Unicorn are on the line-up, as vile and offensive as ever bringing their barrage of music? With Paper Arms rounding off proceedings in a lavish and very necessary fashion & with even more to be announced, why miss the opportunity?

Doors open earlier then your standard show, to allow for All bands and artists / across two stages to showcase and entertain.
