Hilltop Hoods Get Their ARIA, Only That's Not Their ARIA

You had one job, mail guy

More Hilltop Hoods Hilltop Hoods Profile

Venerated Aussie hip hop trio the Hilltop Hoods have every reason to be celebrating of late: they recently completed a wildly successful tour, they've been lapping up praise for 2014's acclaimed full-length Walking Under Stars ever since its release, and the long-awaited ARIA Awards statue they've been waiting for, in honour of their Best Urban Album win at last year's ceremony, has finally arrived — or not.

As the group's social media fanbase were just informed, they certainly received an ARIA trophy - just not the one with their name on it.

"Thanks for sending over the ARIA @umusicau," the band wrote next to a picture of an ARIA inscribed for Iggy Azalea's Breakthrough Artist win for The New Classic, "but I'm pretty sure that this one isn't ours. Hahahahaha."

As for the ever-controversial Iggy, she's not yet put her hand up to say that she's got the Hilltops' commemorative piece by mistake in kind, but let's hope the mix-up isn't any more complicated than that, and Sia doesn't wake up with Chet Faker's trophies at her door or something, which at this stage doesn't seem as crazy as it once might have.
