Coming this May & June.
The 9th Human Rights Arts & Film Festival has released a selection of highlights from its 2016 program ahead of its national tour over May and June.
One clear standout has been They Will Have To Kill Us First: Malian Music In Exile, a film that follows various musicians in Mali as they refuse to lay down their instruments following a jihadist takeover and music ban in the area. Others include The Bad Kids, Stanford Prison Experiment, and The True Cost.
This year's tour will also four shorts sessions including the popular Australian Shorts and all five nominees for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2016 Oscars.
Returning this year as well are the Breakfast Sessions four forums in Melbourne with a variety of panels to discuss current human rights topics.
