Armed with an air tight, high energy live show and a load of irresistibly catchy singalongs, Heroes For Hire will be hitting the road this October for their most extensive headline run to date, with support coming from New Jersey’s own pop punk contenders I Call Fives, as well as Brisbane quintet I Am Villain.
With the May 2011 release of their second album, Take One For The Team, Sydney pop punkers Heroes For Hire have made good on their promise to take over the airwaves.
Forever on tour in their trusty van, be it festivals with Paramore and Parkway Drive, arena tours with Short Stack, Unwritten Law and Boys Like Girls or sweaty clubs with Fireworks and The Wonder Years, the release of Take One For The Team has been spearheaded by the singles “All Messed Up” and “Secrets, Lies and Sins,” both of which have become commercial radio staples throughout Australia, with the latter being among the most requested tracks on Channel V since premiering in August.
Since releasing their Bad Advice 7” inch through No Sleep Records (which has housed everyone from The Wonder Years and La Dispute through to Balance And Composure and Touche Amore), I Call Fives have trekked across their native USA countless times, the most recent of which was a supporting run with The Dangerous Summer. In conjunction with their first Australian tour, I Call Fives will be releasing If We Ever Hit The Ground - a collection of all their recorded material thus far – through Shock Entertainment.
Rounding out this already impressive bill is relative newcomers I Am Villain, who are fresh off a national stint with the self-proclaimed defenders of pop punk, Man Overboard.
