Punk icon, actor, author, radio host, Grammy Award winner and all-around legend Henry Rollins is returning to Australia this June and July with his Good To See You tour, his first spoken word tour down under since 2016.

Rollins and his microphone will touch down in regional centres, such as Margaret River, Alice Springs, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Bendigo, Ballarat, Thirroul, Newcastle and Launceston, as well as capital cities across the country.

According to a press release, the Good To See You tour finds Rollins faithfully recounting the events of his life in the brief pre-COVID period since his last visit - when things got even stranger. What could that be alluding to?

The author of more than 30 books, including Black Coffee Blues, Get In The Van, Solipsist, Roomanitarian and Broken Summers, Rollins’ latest works Sic and Stay Fantastic!! Vol 3 were released in December and September 2022, respectively. On air, his renowned weekly radio show is broadcast on Los Angeles’ station KCRW 89.9, with thousands of fans tuning in around the globe.

Tickets for all shows go on sale next Wednesday, 15 February, at 11 am local time. Frontier Members can access pre-sale tickets on Monday, 13 February, at 11 am local time - find more details on the Frontier Touring website.

Rollins is rather a different person from the young man who fronted titans of the hardcore genre Black Flag, though no less magnificent, The Music remarked about his 2016 Guide To The Life Of Henry Rollins tour. Read the full review here.
