"We are heartbroken."

More Kingswood More Kingswood

Melbourne rockers Kingswood have had priceless instruments and recordings from their forthcoming album stolen from their Collingwood studio.

Taking to Facebook, the band shared surveillance footage of the three thieves who broke in in late June and took guitars, keyboards, in-ear systems, guitar pedals, computers and more.

"We lost so much, the worst being irreplaceable items like some of Al's guitars, they are his babies," Kingswood's Fergus Linacre told The Music.

"Also, we lost music, recordings for our new record. Of course, we can re-record them, but who's to say we will capture those performances again - every time you record the result is unique to that environment, the energy of those sessions is lost."

Among the guitars stolen were two Gibsons and a Fender that helped shape their first two records, Microscopic Wars and After Hours, Close To Dawn.

Kingswood are urging fans to share the footage and tag friends, and requesting anyone with information email robbery@kingswoodband.com with the subject “KINGSWOOD BAND ROBBERY”.
