Musicians get together to help raise money and awareness.

The issue of fracking is a very big one in a number of communities around the country and there are a few groups around who are looking to raise awareness about the detrimental factors of the practice to the environment. One of those groups is Aussies Against Fracking and today they've let us know about a couple of gigs they're holding to raise money and awareness for their cause.

This Saturday there will be a show in the tiny town of Bentley, where Andrea Soler, Blakboi, Jimmy Dowling, Ilona Harker, Connor Cleary, Jim Bob, Davey Bob's Rhythm Riders and Faune Fantasy will all get together for a big night of music that will also feature recorded messages from fellow famous fracking haters.

On Saturday 5 April a show featuring some pretty big names will hit the inland town of Coonabarabran, with Ash Grunwald, Kevin Bennett & The Flood and The Re-Mains among the acts locked in for that show, which kicks off at 4pm and takes place at Piliga Pottery.

Both shows will feature some guest speakers who will shed a little more light on the issue as well.
