Heaven Shall Burn gain internet notoriety

European metallers Heaven Shall Burn have inadvertently found themselves in the middle of some novel online publicity.

European metallers Heaven Shall Burn have inadvertently found themselves in the middle of some novel online publicity.

The German five-piece recently became one of the trendiest topics on social networking site Twitter. This strange popularity, occurring within the online sphere, led those to wonder why the band was being posted about so regularly.

Music blog site ‘Gun Shy Assassin’ offered the following thoughts, “I guess someone started Tweeting about Heaven Shall Burn, and a whole bunch of Christians got upset. I’m not sure why.”

Moreover, Metal Injection stated the following, “Looks like late last night, the Europeans took over, as metalcore act Heaven Shall Burn became a trending topic. I honestly can't explain how it happened, but since it did happen, it resulted in some humorous responses, especially from the Christians!”

The band themselves took to Twitter to post a brief reply to the vitriolic comments they received from conservative religious individuals when writing, “Does it need any more proof how narrow minded many Christian fanatics are!?”
