Kim Gordon Announces New Body/Head Album

Body/Head is her new project with free-noise guitarist Bill Nace

More Body/Head Body/Head

Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon has announced her project with Bill Nace, Body/Head is set to release a double album this September entitled Coming Apart.

The album is set to drop in North America Tuesday 10 September, then in Europe and the UK on Sunday 16 September through Matador Records, who state that we'll hear a lot more of Gordon's vocals as a part of the soundscape this time around.

The experimental duo describe themselves as a "scripted improvisational" project, and formed shortly after Gordon announced her split from long-time boyfriend and former bandmate Thurston Moore in 2011.

When describing the project Gordon says, "It feels a little like rebuilding or starting over in some way, but I have a whole kind of vocabulary of music and experiences to bring to that ... It's just music – just more music.
