The eagerly awaited Big Ass Tour is back on track, with Canberran post-hardcore faves Hands Like Houses joining the sojourn today following the withdrawal of erstwhile drawcards The Ghost Inside.

The local outfit — who have recently returned home from a 32-date world tour with new single New Romantics in tow, ahead of an expected album release next year — will now join remaining headliners The Amity Affliction, A Day To Remember and Motionless In White for all shows on the tour, which kicks off next week at Sydney's Qantas Credit Union Arena on Saturday 12 December. The bands also have dates lined up in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, finishing up the tour with a back-to-back showing in Brisbane.

The Ghost Inside were forced to prematurely depart the tour to concentrate on recovery in the wake of a serious crash while on tour in the US that took the lives of the drivers of both involved vehicles and left several members of the band with severe injuries.

Their recovery is ongoing; donations are still being accepted at their GoFundMe page, having so far accrued $US146,100 (about $199,350) over the past two weeks to assist with medical and associated costs from the incident.
