Jot Maxi is a suitable, more aggressive replacement to former co-vocalist, Ben Marvin.
Back In January, co-vocalist Ben Marvin amicably departed the Milton Keynes crew for personal reasons, but the band have now found their replacement.
On what was Hacktivist's long overdue debut album, 'Outside The Box', there was a grime song called 'Rotten'. On that song, there were two guest features; Astroid Boys (dumb name) and English vocalist Jot Maxi, who fitted the band's sound very well. So it's perhaps only fitting that the H-lads now hit back with a much heavier metal take on 'Rotten' - one which blows the original track out of the water - to announce and welcome in their new vocalist, the aforementioned Jot Maxi.

Following Marvin's exit from the group, Maxi was apparently the natural choice for the band, so sayeth guitarist/singer/producer, Timfy James: "Jot has brought many different new qualities to the mix – new and exciting flows, song concepts and general craziness. He fits in well, almost like he's always been there."
And I do have to agree with old mate Timfy in that Maxi is indeed a fitting replacement. The band's newest member carries a slightly more aggressive tone to his rapping, one that moulds with Jermaine Hurley's own flow and timbre very well; all making me hopeful about whatever the band's next release will be.
Maxi will make his live debut with Hacktivist at this year's Download Festival in the U.K this coming week., and hopefully, we'll finally get a headline Hacktivist tour in Australia this year.
