Stadium rock is back!

More Guns N' Roses More Guns N' Roses

Stadium rock is looking to make its return to Australia in 2021, with music legends Guns N' Roses today announcing a huge tour Down Under.

After last being in the country in 2017 for their Not In This Lifetime tour, the iconic US outfit, boasting a line-up that features Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, will return next November for shows in the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

"Announcing an international tour of this magnitude as we come out of the most challenging year in the history of live entertainment is truly gratifying. We're all eager to return to business as usual and who better to lead the charge into international stadium touring than the mighty Guns N' Roses," promoter Paul Dainty said.

"Witnessing the classic line-up of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, reunited, on Australian stages during this historic band's previous Not In This Lifetime tour was an unforgettable experience for fans and the reviews were unanimously glowing.

"Now that COVID-related restrictions are easing, Australians can look forward to the return of largescale stadium events such as this and, let’s face it, Guns N' Roses deliver every single time."

The band’s 2017 run was met with a wealth of praise, with The Music review Gareth Williams noting their Perth show left “a stadium full of very satisfied punters”, while writer Mick Radojkovic noted it was “a huge return; on time and matured, but still as good as ever” and Cristiana Linthwaite Gibbins said, “They gave their audience an absolute night to remember.”

The tour also featured a surprise appearance on stage from Angus Young in Melbourne and Sydney, while drummer Frank Ferrer jammed at a local venue during the trip.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 26 November. For more details, head to theGuide.
