The Aston ShuffleProducer/DJ duo The Aston Shuffle have a new challenge to undertake on top of their touring commitments and triple j's Friday Night Shuffle hosting duties — they're collaborating with property developers Geocon to provide the sounds of their new building project, Midnight, in Canberra.
Midnight is a mixed-use development with 160 hotel rooms, 237 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom apartments, commercial spaces with cafes and bars, a pool and more in the Canberra neighbourhood of Braddon, with Mikah Freeman and Vance Musgrove providing the official Midnight soundtrack — which you can check out in this video.
They'll also be curating the soundtracks for the development's courtyards, foyer and retail plaza, all played through the building's state-of-the-art SONOS rig.
Musgrove says of the project, "Canberra has been crying out for a neighbourhood like this for a really long time. The city needs visionary developers to help grow its status as a global city and we see GEOCON’s work with Midnight as a huge contribution towards this."
