The Portlandian surf-rockers are back for round two this September

More Guantanamo Baywatch More Guantanamo Baywatch

US surf-rock upstarts Guantanamo Baywatch have announced their plans to return for a second tour of Australia this September following their enthusiastically received debut run last year.

This time around, the band are boasting a new album in the form of their sophomore full-length Darling… It's Too Late, as well as a new guitarist in recent conscript Jordan Owens, joining the founding trio of Jason Powell (guitar), Chevelle Wiseman (bass) and Chris Scott (drums) in time for their return visit to their self-professed newfound second home. And, look, that's really not just a cheap buttering-up sentiment: they really are so excited about the trip that they even made an announcement video especially to break the news.

As you can see in the clip, the sequel sojourn kicks off in Brisbane, at The Foundry, on Friday 23 September, with further dates scheduled for Byron Bay (Great Northern, 24 September), Sydney (two shows on 25 September — day @ Sounds Of The Suburbs fest, night @ Frankie's Pizza), Ballarat (The Eastern, 29 September), Melbourne (Yah Yah's, 30 September), Newstead (Chopped Festival, Saturday 1 October) and Castlemaine's Bridge Hotel, the final stop on the tour, on 2 October.
