Groovin The Moo Maitland Going Ahead Despite Flood Warning

Aussie festival release Facebook statement

Despite the damaging storms and flooding throughout New South Wales last week, festival organisers of Groovin The Moo have assured fans that the sold out Maitland show will go ahead as planned.

In a statement released on Facebook today, the organisers have said that despite warnings the dangerous weather may return to Maitland which was heavily affected last week, they are working to avoid areas that may be affected by the time of the festival on May 9.

"...We are working closely with our stakeholders to revise planning in those areas of the event that have been affected by weather. At this stage, those areas are minimal" the statement read.

The shows kicked off this past weekend in Oakbank and Bunbury — check out our review here!

Groovin The Moo heads to Canberra and Bendigo this weekend, before they wrap up in Maitland and Townsville the following week.
