Aussies Score Big In 2019 GRAMMY Nominations
A massive year for Australian acts.
It's a huge year for Aussies at the GRAMMYS with a whopping six acts scoring nominations.
Australian songwriter Sarah Aarons has today picked up her first ever round of GRAMMY nominations for her work on The Middle by Zedd, Grey feat. Maren Morris. The track has been nominated for Record Of The Year, as well as Song Of The Year. Additionally, it has also been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Aarons and The Middle will be competing against Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Childish Gambino, Drake, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper, Kendrick Lamar & SZA, and Post Malone for Record Of The Year.
Aarons was named Breakthrough Songwriter Of The Year at this year's APRA Music Awards, pictured above.

Aussie dance act Fisher has scored a nomination for Best Dance Recording for his track Losing It. The track was up for Best Dance Release at last week's ARIA Awards.
Country superstar Keith Urban, who is fresh off his stint hosting the ARIAs, has picked up a nom for Best Country Solo Performance for Parallel Line.
Melbourne born artist Lisa Gerrard, who is also one half of Dead Can Dance, has scored a nomination in the Best New Age Album category for her album, Hiraeth, with David David Kuckhermann, while Australian brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, known as for KING & COUNTRY, have been nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for JOY.
The Greatest Showman soundtrack, featuring Hugh Jackman, has been nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media.
Other Australian artists whose work appears on nominated recordings include Paul Mabury, Christian 'TEK' O'Ryan, Alan Hicks, Jasper Leak, Sia, Royce Doherty, Mia Fields, Kevin Parker, Sarah Hopkins and Lindsay Rimes.
Album Of The Year nominees include Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Drake, HER, Post Malone, Janelle Monae, Kacey Musgraves, and Kendrick Lamar for the Black Panther soundtrack.
Chris Cornell has been posthumously honoured with a nomination for When Bad Does Good in the Best Rock Performance category, while Mac Miller has been nominated for his first-ever GRAMMY for Best Rap Album for Swimming.
