Is Gotye's Eighth Week Top In The US His Last?

Sia and Havana Brown climb the ladder as the time on Gotye's domination might be up.

More Gotye More Gotye

Gotye has today remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 - his eighth week at the summit of the American music industry. It is - of course - that track Somebody That I Used To Know that holds that spot, but Billboard point out that this week could be the end of his run at the top.

Holding second position again this week is Carly Rae Jepsen with the infectious Call Me Maybe - and the gap between 1 and 2 is closing. This week, Maybe went up by two percent in overall Hot 100 'points' and Somebody was down two percent. Billboard speculate that Gotye will be knocked off "perhaps as soon as next week."

Quiet international achiever Sia is at seven (sixth last week) in the Hot 100 with Wild Ones with Flo Rida, while Titanium ,her track with David Guetta, jumps from 25 up to 21 this week.

There was a nice big move for Havana Brown and her track We Run The Night, with Pitbull, as it cracked the top 50 to land 49, up from 56 last week.

After a barnstorming debut at 14 last week, Kimbra's album Vows hangs on to a top 50 spot in the Billboard 200 this week. Gotye on the other hand got a bump back up to 11 with Making Mirrors, which was at 16 last week.
