GordiAs AMC zombie hit The Walking Dead stumbles into its increasingly more emotionally-draining 10th season, music is playing a bigger role in setting the scene.
One of the artists who helped soundtrack its most recent episode is Sydney singer-songwriter Gordi, aka Sophie Payten. The local artist had her song Heaven I Know, taken from the 2017 debut album Reservoir, featured on season 10, episode four, 'Silence The Whisperers'.
Not only was it a prominent feature – Gordi’s haunting voice a perfect addition to the series - it was situated underneath the episode’s intense opening montage and again at the end.
"It’s pretty wild to see a song I wrote while driving my second hand Subaru now being used on a show like The Walking Dead," Gordi told The Music.
