Aussie Actors Score Big With Golden Globes Nominations

It's a big year of nominations for Aussie actors for the 2020 Golden Globes. 

Margot Robbie has scored a nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for Bombshell, while her co-star Nicole Kidman is up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama for Big Little Lies.

Big Little Lies has picked up a total of three nominations, including Best Television Series - Drama and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Meryl Streep's performance.

Russell Crowe appearance in The Loudest Voice has earned him a nod for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, while Cate Blanchett has picked up a nominations for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her work in Where’d You Go, Bernadette. Toni Collette has scored Best Performance By An Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series Or Motion Picture Made For Television for her role in Unbelievable. 

The Elton John biopic Rocketman has scored three nominations including Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Taron Egerton, Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Original Song - Motion Picture. 

Cats, Frozen 2, The Lion King and Harriet are also up for Best Original Song - Motion Picture category, while Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit has scored nominations for Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy and Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for Roman Griffin Davis.
