Godspeed You! Black Emperor Announce Supports

The first ever Australian tour from Canadian post-rock legends Godspeed You! Black Emperor is a mere three weeks away, so it's high time the support acts for the tour are announced, which they have been today.

Local acts will be opening the three theatre shows the band play while they're here for the ATP I'll Be Your Mirror festival in Melbourne, three forward thinking, left-of-centre acts who will be sure to intrigue early revellers. In Brisbane the dreamy, DIY post-punk of Primitive Motion will kick things off, Sydney's internationally admired sound artist Pimmon opens things in his home city, while the noisy, bluesy brilliance of Chris Smith will be kicking off the Melbourne show.

There are also a few extra tickets available for those Melburnians who missed out on nabbing one for the sold out date at the Forum, they are on sale from midday tomorrow.

The show dates are as follows:

Wednesday 13 February - The Tivoli, Brisbane
Thursday 14 February - Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Friday 15 February - Forum Theatre, Melbourne
