Give Up The Ghost announce US reunion shows, vinyl reissues

Highly influential Boston hardcore-punk band Give Up The Ghost have announced their first live performances in almost eight years. The band's definitive lineup of Wesley Eisold, Timothy Cossar, Joshua Holden, Brian Masek, and Alex Garcia-Rivera has reunited for two exclusive American shows in December, and are set to play a hometown Boston show on December 29 and a Los Angeles secret show at an undisclosed location on December 31st.These shows will mark the first time the band has performed together since the unexpected announcement of their indefinite hiatus in June 2004. It is currently unclear whether or not the reunited Give Up The Ghost will follow up these performances with additional live appearances.

In conjunction with the reunion shows, Deathwish Records has announced that they will be reissuing both of the band's groundbreaking LPs in vinyl format. 'Background Music' and 'We're Down Til We're Undeground' will be re-released in a special gatefold jacket with new album artwork, and have been intricately remastered by Paul Gold of Salt Mastering.

The vinyl reissues will be available in a variety of colours as well as 180 gram versions, and will be released in a strictly limited quantity. The reissues are available for pre-order from the Deathwish Records website.
