Americana singer-songwriters Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have announced their long-awaited return to Australia will go down next January and February, unfolding as two separate tours.
The first leg will see the pair collaborate and perform under Welch’s name, taking in a number of states before expanding to become a quintet, performing as Dave Rawlings Machine.
Each tour contains five dates, with the first run kicking off at Perth Concert Hall on Saturday 30 January and Dave Rawlings Machine taking over at The Triffid in Brisbane on Friday 12 February.
Welch and Rawlings last toured the country together in 2004.
