Ghouls will be teaming up with Melbourne's Foxblood for their inaugural Australian run this April.
Up and coming U.K. alt-punks and lovers of all-things saxophone, Ghouls are heading down under in April for their first ever Australian co-headline tour, sharing the forthcoming run with our favourite Melbourne' post-hardcore trailblazers, Foxblood, in what is an odd but cool mixed bill. Both bands will pair up to travel the country for the ’No Better Place To Be’ in April, with Ghouls offering up both fresh material and old tracks from last year's solid 'Run' LP.
Before this upcoming tour hits, however, Ghouls have dropped their brand new single, a catchy song titled ‘Internet Famous’ (found below). The message of this new track, as you can probably gather from the song title, is one of technology addiction, with the band's frontman Benedict Goold saying:
“I took myself off social media this summer and honestly, it genuinely changed me; I have more time, better perspectives, less anxiety and less care for where I go and what I do… There is a place for it and it can be a useful tool but I would urge people to look up from their phones once in a while - there’s real beauty in physical conversations and real-life activity”.
While I'm sure many reading this will know Foxblood well enough - a band that I've also spoken very highly of in the past and who are going to have a very good 2018 - the best place to start with Ghouls is their catchy as fuck melodic punk rock tune, 'Seasonal Affective'. So go find out why legends like Frank Turner are loving this young band. Expect to hear more from both of these two bands very soon...
