In honour of his debut EP
Emergent Sydney musician MOSSY has just released his self-titled debut EP, a five-track collection of meticulously crafted, remarkably realised electro-infused jams that we'd really recommend not sleeping on.
From the first strains of initial single and opening track Electric Chair through to the downtempo evocations of stunning closer Ginsberg, the MOSSY EP is sure to stick with you well beyond its modest run time, such are the lyrical and instrumental delights to be unwrapped within.
In fact, so vivid can MOSSY's imagery be that he's been able to concoct a lengthy, eclectic and unmissable playlist of tunes to be listened to 'under the moon', in keeping with Ginsberg's lyrical note — and the consequent title of this playlist — The Moon Hangs Low Tonight.
The playlist features work by late Italian composer Piero Piccioni, Kiwi psych-pop luminary Connan Mockasin, British clarinettist and vocalist Acker Bilk alongside a ream of better-known artists and acts including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Iceage, Atlas Sound, Nina Simone, David Bowie, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, David Bowie, Ariel Pink, D'Angelo, Jeff Buckley, Deerhunter, Brian Eno, Leonard Cohen (bonus: it's not Hallelujah) and many more.
