Queer Screen and Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras have joined forced to bring you an outdoor screening of In Bed With Madonna at The Harbour, Fleet Steps, Mrs Macquarie's Chair, on Wednesday 24 February.
Shot during the Blonde Ambition tour and screening at Cannes in 1991, it was the highest grossing documentary film of its time - following the star through health problems, a difficult return to her home town of Detroit and tensions with her then-partner Warren Beatty.
Directed by Alek Keshishian (W.E., Love And Other Disasters) the film is a tribute to his past experience filming music videos - including Madonna's Like A Virgin and Holiday, he has put his subtle hand to this intimate encounter with the most vulnerable, raw parts of the diva's fast-paced, fame injected world.
