“[A reunion] is not something I could see down the line."
Gearing up for his appearance at Soundwave next year, Gerard Way has ruled out any possibility of a future My Chemical Romance reunion.
Speaking to theMusic.com.au about his recent solo record and pending trip to Aus, the ex-My Chemical Romance frontman said he had moved on and made peace with the band’s split, which occurred in 2013.
“[A reunion] is not something I could see down the line…I definitely don’t think that’s something I would do again,” Way said.
“It was hard and it was emotionally difficult. But at the end of the day, coming out of it, it was fine.

“Where I’ll end up as a solo artist is going to probably be drastically different to what we’re hearing now. I’m already writing new stuff and the new stuff’s pretty different.”
