Multi-platinum rapper G-Eazy will be returning to Australia at the start of 2025 following the news of his first album in three years, Freak Show. The tour marks the first time the Californian artist has been down under since 2016.

The artist, who rose to fame from his 2014 RCA Records album These Things Happen, has been dominating the charts for just shy of a decade. Hits such as Me, Myself & I, No Limit with A$AP Rocky and Cardi B, and Him & I featuring Halsey garnered the rapper radio success. However, the rapper is now choosing to pivot his image to one of vulnerability.

The rapper is now leaning into a more alternative side, with the track Anxiety inspired by The Clash’s London Calling and delving into the rapper’s inner demons.

The song opens up by discussing G-Eazy’s health post-blow-up: “Anxiety, insomnia; Manic episodes, body dysmorphia; Unhappiness turns to happiness; Sadness turns back to happiness.”

Riding the success of Anxiety, the singer released Freak Show’s next single, Femme Fatale, in April. This song features Coi Leray and Kaliii and retains G-Eazy’s classic style. The star has also given fans a brand new taste of his OG track, Lady Killer, releasing the sequels Lady Killers II and III. This plays on the success of the single on TikTok, with the iconic instrumental hook drilled into the minds of all who hear it.

The steady stream of new music released by the artist makes up the soundscape of the new album Freak Show, set to be released on Friday, 21 June. Eazy will be taking the album global, kicking off in Canada and the US, before swiftly heading to Europe and then finally to Australia, marking over six months of straight touring for the icon.

The rapper will be heading to Australia from late February to early March, starting with a stint at Metro City in Perth, then taking on The Forum in Melbourne, Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, and Enmore Theatre in Sydney. At the start of March, G-Eazy will cross the Tasman to visit our neighbours in Auckland, New Zealand.
