David Suzuki, Naomi Oreskes and more

WOMADelaide has announced its full Planet Talks program line-up this morning, unveiling a varied set of speakers, discussion topics and workshops curated in conjunction with University of South Australia.

WOMADelaide director, Ian Scobie, says, "With the support of UniSA, we’re thrilled to make an annual contribution to the growing public dialogue about environment and sustainability issues in the form of the Planet Talks."

Planet Talks aims to provide a safe place to highlight discussions about our sustainable relationship with the planet. Heading up the line-up this year is Canadian science broadcaster and environmentalist David Suzuki, along with esteemed American academic and author Naomi Oreskes and co-founder and Chief Executive of the Eden Project, as well as a geologist and science historian, Sir Tim Smit

Oreskes will be sitting on a panel called 'Should We Trust Scientists?' with UniSA's Professor Tanya Monro and Dr Karl Kruzelnicki, while Sir Tim Smit will sit with David Suzuki and sustainability author Indira Naidoo on a panel about climate change called 'What's Love Got To Do With It?'.

There are also workshops you can attend, including 'Composting 101 with Georgia Pollard' and 'Designing And Maintaining A Sustainable Garden with Professor John Boland and Chris Bryant'.

This is only the tip of the iceberg though; head to WOMADelaide's website for full details.
