Foxtel Secures Two New DC Comics TV Series

The schedule for Foxtel entertainment channel, FOX8, already boasts an impressive line-up of DC Comics TV series including The Flash and Arrow and that list is about to get longer with this week's announcement that new superhero shows, Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow, will screen exclusively on the network in the coming months. 

While Supergirl, based on the biological cousin of Supermanis set to air its pilot episode in the US on 26 October, it will screen here in Australia on Sunday 6 December at 8:30pm.

The show stars Melissa Benoist of Glee fame, as well as Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh and Homeland's David Harewood.

Meanwhile, fans will have to wait just a little bit longer for LOT, which is to be a spin-off show of Arrow and The Flash, when it screens in both the US and Australia in early 2016.

The LOT cast boasts a slew of big names including veteran actor Victor Garber, Brandon Routh (most famous for his run as Superman in 2006 film Superman Returns) and both Prison Break lead stars, Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell.

Due to the incredible success of the DC Comics shows both at home and abroad, Foxtel has also announced that season two of The Flash will air express from the States from Wednesday, 7 October at 7:30pm, while season four of Arrow will commence screening the following night at the same time.
