It's gonna be a glorious day.
AFTRS, APRA and the Australian Guild of Screen Composers are teaming up to put on a huge, free Glories Of The Score symposium for all music lovers, including keynote speeches by massive international composers.
Heading up the exciting event will be LA composer Charlie Clouser, best known for his chilling score for the SAW franchise and his time as guitarist and Protools engineer for Nine Inch Nails.
The day will also include a presentation from composer, sound designer and filmmaker Phillip Brophy and a show and tell with composers David Hirschfelder, Cezary Skubiswewski, Amy Bastow and Burkhard Dallwitz.
As part of a symposium there will be a Screen Music Competition for all budding composers out there with prizes including a stack of professional music equipment, session time and a five week internship at Church Street Studios. Submissions close Thursday 30 November, so you better be quick.
