Former Nile/Divine Heresy bassist Joseph Payne has been arrested for trafficking 2,900 grams of marijuana in the Iredell County area of North Carolina, according to Gun Shy Assassin. Payne, 28, and another man, John Tringas, 23, were arrested in connection to marijuana being transported from the Charlotte area and distributed in Iredell County. The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office seized 2,900 grams of marijuana, three handguns and more than $5,000 USD when conducting a search warrant at Payne's residence. The marijuana reportedly has a street value of more than $26,000 USD. Both men were charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and maintaining a vehicle. More arrests are expected to be made in relation to the investigation.
