Official Press Release:

Melbourne outfit FORGIVEN RIVAL are proud to announce the release of their daring debut album, 'This Is A War', with a string of Victorian tour dates in celebration of the release.

‘This Is A War’ is a pure example of fast, intriguing and catchy rock;  hardcore tunes laced with captivating pop hooks, dualing voals and a unpredictable plot. ‘This Is A War’ will no doubt further launch FORGIVEN RIVAL into the music stratosphere in Australia and across the globe. Buckle up... you won't want to miss the ride! The album’s leading single, ‘The Request’, is available now exclusively through iTunes. ‘The Request’ exhibits the band’s creative songwriting and distinctive sound – a track that has already began to make waves.

Having previously toured with the likes of Parkway Drive, Silverstein, Boys Night Out and Behind Crimson Eyes, FORGIVEN RIVAL are up there with the best of the best. Their precise and crushing live show has been stirring audience since the band’s inception in late 2004. FORGIVEN RIVAL take ‘This Is A War’ on the road with an extensive national tour throughout February and March, taking in schools, festivals and clubs.

Australian indie label El Shaddai Records will release the debut. El Shaddai was established in 2006 as a project aimed to release quality music from artists who cared less about money, fame or fashion and more about the music they played. Taking an artist-friendly approach and a drive to promote punk, hardcore and metal they have seen great success in a short time with artists already getting Top 10 spots on MySpace Australia music charts. The label is out to shake some foundations in the years to come.

‘This Is A War’ will be released in-stores on February 16 through El Shaddia Records. The full album will be available on iTunes from February 14, with the single ‘The Request’ already available. Catch FORGIVEN RIVAL as they tour the state throughout February and March.
