Boorloo/Perth-based indie-rock trio Fool Nelson have announced that they will be taking their talents to beyond the West Coast, with a debut national headline tour slated for February 2025.
Alongside the tour, the trio have unveiled their latest single, Don’t Feel Right, a surf-rock anthem mixing salty riffs with the tight-knit friendships of adolescent years. Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (Noah Dillon, Death by Denim), the track explores themes of appreciating friendships and the bittersweet experience of growing apart from loved ones when life gets in the way.
"'Don't Feel Right' is about not taking the people around you for granted,” the band said of the single. “It touches on the idea of growing apart from friends and forgetting about how important certain people are in your life. It's been a pretty crazy year for us, lots of 'firsts' and some awesome opportunities.”

Following a whirlwind year that included appearances at Brisbane’s BIGSOUND, a sold-out WA regional run, and supporting acts like Old Mervs and The Grogans, Fool Nelson are gearing up to take their music nationwide. The Fool Australia tour eight cities, kicking off in the neighbouring state of South Australia before hopping to Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, three regional gigs in Newcastle, Margaret River, and Albany, with the final show in their home state of Western Australia.
This announcement follows the success of their mid-year release, the Falling Apart EP. The four-song project nabbed several playlisting nods and permeated the Perth inner-city scene into the ears of those all over the country. Reflecting on the mammoth year they’ve had, the band shared:
“It's definitely been a lot more touring than we've ever done,” the band said. “We're super excited to be doing our first ever headline Australian tour finally. It's a big effort to do coming from WA, but now that we've got a bit of a taste for it, we're definitely keen to keep the ball rolling with playing as many shows around the country as we can!"
