They could be returning to Australia in early March...
Aussie fans of the Foo Fighters, specifically those in Geelong, might be getting to see the US icons a little sooner than expected.
As Herald Sun reports, the band are “in talks” to play at GMHBA Stadium in Victoria next month, a surprise gig to bolster the state’s reputation as a live music destination.
At this stage, it’s looking like it would be early March if it happens, but the band’s Australian promoter, Frontier Touring, declined to comment on the rumour and the Herald Sun reports an insider as saying “there is still a lot to be worked through”.
Failing that, it’s expected the band will return to the country to play stadium shows towards the end of the year.
Foo Fighters' upcoming horror-comedy, Studio 666, will hit Australian cinemas for a limited time from February 24.
Based on a story by Dave Grohl and featuring all six members of the band, the film will centre around the group recording in a haunted studio, and the terrors that lie within bubbling up to the surface.
Check out the film’s trailer below.
