Foo FightersLegendary Rock act the Foo Fighters released their comedy horror film Studio 666 last week across America, with the film underperforming on the Box Office Charts.
The film debuted at No. 8 for Open Road and Briarcliff, grossing approximately $1.6 million across 2,306 theatres. The film was the only new nationwide offering for the week.
Studio 666 features a cast full of the legendary Foo Fighters, including Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee and sees them engage with supernatural forces in a haunted house comedy format.
"In Studio 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album," a synopsis on the official website reads.
"Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band."
Taking out the top of the Box Office charts was Uncharted starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, which earned approximately $23.3 million from 4,275 theatres in its second weekend.
Last week, Frontier Touring has announced rock legends Foo Fighters are returning to Australia next month for a history-making performance at Geelong's GMHBA Stadium on March 4.
