We’re less than a month away from Flickerfest 2020 and organisers have today unveiled a huge program.

Australia’s leading short film festival, Flickerfest 2020 will take over Bondi Pavilion from 10-19 January before touring 50 venues across the country from January – May.

A record 3,500 entries from over 100 countries were received by Flickerfest, who were tasked with selecting around 200 short films to run across 17 competitive programmes and four showcase programmes, ensuring punters are treated to “the very best most creative and inspiring shorts”.

Written and directed by Hunter Page Lochard (Les Norton, Cleverman) and Fred Carter Simpkin and starring award-winning actor and director Wayne Blair, Closed Doors will make its world premiere during the event.

Attendees will also be treated to a special EU showcase screening of Nimic from Oscar-nominated Greek director Yorgos Lanthimos (The Favourite, The Lobster) and will be able to catch Clemence Poesy’s (Harry Potter, Gossip Girls) The Tear’s Thing.
