The first 17 acts for the Big Day Out 2012 festival have been announced earlier tonight through the official Big Day Out twitter account.
Included in the first announcement made tonight was My Chemical Romance, The Living End, Röyksopp, Hilltop Hoods, Boy & Bear, Parkway Drive, Mariachi El Bronx, Architecture in Helsinki, Battles, The Jezabels, Odd Future, Frenzal Rhomb, Girl Talk, The Getaway Plan, Cage The Elephant, Foster The People and Best Coast.
Three of the headlining bands for the festival will be announced tomorrow morning during Tom and Alex's breakfast show on Triple J.
