The singer lets off a bit of steam at a Tokyo Fashion show
Sounds like Fiona Apple had a lot of steam to let off at a recent performance at a Tokyo fashion show.
According to Pitchfork, via Women's Wear Daily, the Criminal singer became increasingly frustrated with the crowd at the Thursday 29 August gig and told them to "shut the fuck-up" among other expletives, as well as referring to them as rude.
She also reportedly climbed on top of her piano to ask the audience to quiet down and rang a small metal bell, asking for silence. Apple eventually stormed off stage after the bizare tirade. We prefer Apple much more when she's all angsty in her music to be honest...
After a really and far too long hiatus, the breakout '90s artist returned to making music in 2012 with her record The Idler Wheel... just before finding herself in the headlines for a drug possession arrest and cancelling a run of shows to be with her dying dog.

She recently teamed up with filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson to produce the gorgeously dark video to one of the tracks off The Idler Wheel... Hot Knife.
