Boundaries will be pushed!
After a successful stint in 2014, Theatre Works and Footscray Community Arts Centre are excited to run the Festival Of Live Art this March, installing over 50 mind-bending and boundary-pushing art pieces in Melbourne.
Interactive art experiences will take the form of many mediums and explore beyond the comfort zones of diversity through forms, gender, sexuality and ability. There will be onstage demonstrations, knitted structures, virtual tea rooms, sound-proof confession booths, a 16 iPad installation, erotic dancing and a fragrance launch (offering complimentary dog washes).
Taking place from the 1 -13 March, the festival will rock the world of ground-breaking expressionists that like a little challenge of perception. The festival will celebrate the input of local and international artists including Tamara Saulwick, Luke George, Nicola Gunn and Nat Cursio, Yumi Umiumare, Leisa Shelton & Fragment 31, Sam Routledge, Triage Live Art Collective, Claire Cunningham, Aphids, Kate Hunter, Rully Shabara, Ahmarnya Price, Tamara Kirby & Kelly Ryall, Aseel Tayah and Black Hole Theatre Company.
