The 2022 FBi Sydney Music Arts & Culture Award (SMAC) finalists have landed, with Tasman Keith, Barkaa, Milan Ring, Speed and 1300 leading the way, collecting two nominations each.

The ten different categories featured in the SMAC Awards cover the vast amount of talent in the state's music, arts, and cultural scenes, highlighting the cream of the crop and giving these artists and creatives the recognition they deserve. Starting in 2008, the FBi SMAC Awards have grown to become the ultimate tastemaker, unearthing a plethora of local talent who are now representing Australia on an international level.

Last year, both Barkaa and Milan Ring scored a win in Song Of The Year and Best Live Act, respectively. Other previous winners include Flume, Hermitude and The Preatures.

Public voting is now open and will close at 6pm on Thursday, October 27. The FBi SMAC Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 10, at Powerhouse in Ultimo, and for the first time ever, the event will be open to the general public. FBi DJs and nominees will give live performances on the night, and FBi will broadcast the entire event live on FBi Radio 94.5FM.
