As part of the weekend at MONA, hyped Hobart festival Mofo has just announced the programme line-up for its crazed late-night riot — Faux Mo.
The frantic three-day affair is set to be held in unoccupied ex-government office space at 12 Murray St, kicking off on 15 January from 9pm until late. The conversion of the venue into a debauched disco lair comes just months before its planned demolition to make way for Hobart’s Parliament Square development next year.
Faux Mo’s line-up will feature a host of well-known artists over all three nights including DJ Yoda, who will entertain party goers with his turntables on Friday night, New York based no-wave pioneers James Chance and The Contortions bringing their brand of funk to Saturday night, wrapping up on Sunday with Japanese jazz and soul sampler DJ Khush.
