From August 15, Destroy All Lines will be accepting applications from unsigned bands to participate in a massive national Battle Of The Bands contest, with the opportunity to score an amazing prize pack including studio time, distribution and a swag of other gear! The crusade that is FATE will be opened to bands of any genre, and could very well be your ticket to stardom.

Entrants will be selected based upon both their profile as a band, and on the quality of their music. Successful applicants will then be invited to perform at a heat, with the chance to then play in the FATE finals! Battle winners will be decided by a panel of local judges based on the criteria of performance, originality and crowd response.

Battles will be held around the country each week from October to February – Tuesdays at Spectrum in Sydney (starting October 16), Wednesdays at Revolver in Melbourne (starting October 17) and Thursdays at Enigma Bar in Adelaide (starting October 18). Overall, a total of 144 bands will battle it out, but there can only be one winner!

The grand prize includes:

• Recording, production and mastering of an EP at Studio 301 Sydney or ByronBay

• EP pressing by Decks Audio

• Distribution through Stomp Records

• Graphic design work from RobotAcademy

• Gear from ESP, Randall and Dean Markley.

• Clothing pack from Atticus and merchandise designs from Lowlife

• Street press advertising from Streetpress Australia

• Inclusion in This Is Killer from Attractive Promotions

• Street team marketing campaign from Small World

• Merch manufacturing from Kicks n Chicks

In addition, those who support the bands will be entered into the draw to win a full SAEInstitute Audio or Film Stream Diploma course scholarship Band submissions will be open from August 15 to September 6.
