Falls Festival Adds The OG Wiggles To Its Line-up

To celebrate Falls Festival going on sale this morning, the festival has announced that it's booked the original Wiggles to perform at all three festival dates across the summer.

The favourites join the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Lil Nas X, Peggy Gou, CHVRCHES, Jamie XX and more on the line-up following the success of their massive 15+ show, sold-out tour. The band will be performing their most loved tracks alongside cameos from iconic characters such as Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.

In April, Falls Festival headliner Lil Nas X tweeted that he was "trying really hard to get the Wiggles to co-headline the tour with me. i will keep you guys updated.”

"In response to the tweet, The Wiggles posted on Instagram with the caption, "The Big Red Car is packed and ready to go down the Old Town Road 🚗."

Breaking it down, it feels like a potential match made in heaven for the two artistic forces, both being able to transcend age in their audiences. 

Falls Festival have made these dreams a reality.

The Wiggles have recently received the Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services To Australian Music. 

Anthony Field said of the award, "On behalf of everyone who's worked with The Wiggles over the past 31 years, I want to thank APRA for honouring us with the Ted Albert Award.

"We have always been driven by genuine love and passion for music, and this recognition means so much to us. Seeing our names alongside Aussie greats, including The Seekers, Joy McKean and the incredible Helen Reddy is so wonderful."
