Pack your donut and flamingo floaties

There's nothing like a kitschy neon water park a la Palm Springs circa 1986 when you're sweating out of every crevice at a music festival, right? Well, the lovely folks at Falls Fest are very aware of this and will be prepping an amazing water park for your flamingo-inflatable-reclining pleasure at this year's Falls Fest Byron.

Race your mates (or archenemies?) on the 9m high, 20m long screecher of a water slide, take the perfect "candid" Instagram shot at one of the four infinity pools (we know it's not candid, you're not fooling anyone), relive your younger sprinkler days under one of the mushroom fountains or hit on the lifeguards, all while taking in the sweet sounds of Foals, Bloc Party, Birds Of Tokyo or Gang Of Youths in the distance. Hell. Yes.

If you want to get away from the crowds for a while, Falls Byron will also be setting up a Foxtel Movie Marquee zone where you can chill out with a movie and free popcorn in a little air-conditioned space.

Though Falls Fest in Lorne, Victoria is sold out, Falls in Byron Bay and Marion Bay are still a go, so if you're considering it even a little bit, get onto tickets sooner rather than later from here
