Fair Do's Shred Hard & Fast In Latest Single, 'Closing In'

'Closing In' is like a Wilhelm Scream song crossed with The Bloodhound Gang's 'The Bad Touch' video.

Do you love punk bands like A Wilhelm Scream? Are you a furry, or at least, really liked The Bloodhound Gang's outfits from 'The Bad Touch' video? Well, boy, have I got something for you then!

Manchester punks, Fair Do’s, are all about a DIY ethos, fast and melodic punk rock, shredding guitars, instrumental technicality, and shoving a few tongues right through some cheeks as well. This is all clear from their latest single/music video, 'Closing In', as the band rip through a kick-ass yet encouraging track about finding time for yourself and personal growth whilst dressed as foxes... because... why not?

Dropping in hard and quick with the solid melodies and hooks of punk royalty like Frenzal Rhomb and H20, along with the fast rhythms and thrashy, shredding riffage of killer bands such as Propagandhi and the mighty A Wilhelm Scream, 'Closing In' is a tight, heavy and technical punk rock piece. It's just one of those tracks that you go in to with little or even zero expectations only to be wowed by the end of it. And hey, if your one of those people that think punk bands have no musical talent, then Fair Do's are all the proof you need to cure that shitty ignorance.

Fair Do's drummer John Holt spoke about the goofy origins of their newest fox-themed music video, stating that:

“We all have a strong working-class ethos on the band. We grew up in a trade unionist environment, which is something we’re proud of. Some people think expensive equipment makes a band but we all grew up in places where a guitar was something you’d have to steal or beg your parents for. We have a strong affiliation with working class people, people without privilege. We see the foxes as a symbol of the downtrodden; they’re the literal underdogs of the canine world.”

'Closing In' is taken from the English quartet's debut full-length, 'Leopards', which is set to be an explosion of punk rock adrenaline with some solid hardcore and metal influences layered over the top. 'Leopards' actually drops this Friday, July 27th. Before then, of course, kill your anxiety and take a breather below with 'Closing In':
