EXCLUSIVE: Tones & I Signs Management Deal With Lemon Tree Music

Lemon Tree Music have today announced the signing of burgeoning Australian artist Tones & I on a management deal. 

The signing comes on the back of the Byron Bay-based indie songwriter's debut single, Johnny Run Away, which has received high rotation on triple j and is the #1 track on triple j Unearthed. 

"I was sent a video of Tones busking in Byron. Her voice just blew me away & I requested a meeting immediately," Lemon Tree co-founder Regan Lethbridge said.

"Tones is very down to earth, driven, has a vault of amazing songs & has a voice that stops you in your tracks. The Lemon Tree team are incredibly excited to work with Tones & I globally and also alongside [Founder Artists Only's Jackson Walken-Brown]."

“I knew from the moment I first saw Tones busking on the street that she was going to be an international artist," Walken-Brown added.

"Locking arms with Lemon Tree made sense for us because of their extensive global networks and, more importantly, because they’re just ridiculously passionate about Tones."

Tones & I's career has progressed rapidly, having only moved to Byron Bay from Mornington Peninsula in early 2018 where she began busking. 

“It feels so amazing to finally release my music to the world and it is incredible to have such a dedicated and experienced team around me already," Tones & I said.

"It means so much to me to have had people believe in me before I even released a song.”

She joins a Lemon Tree roster that already boasts the likes of Tash Sultana, Pierce Brothers and Maddy Jane.
