One of the local music discoveries of last year, Brisbane/Melbourne based Holy Holy have today officially taken the wraps of infectious new single History and announced an accompanying tour.

Backed by radio play and industry interest, earlier this year Holy Holy sold out their EP launch tour for The Pacific, which spawned the singles House Of Cards and Impossible Like You. Last week their new single History, which is premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au today, was immediately added to the triple j playlist.

The track actually comes from the sessions that produced House Of Cards and was produced by Matt Redlich, who’s worked with Brisbane bands including Ball Park Music and Emma Louise. With the single out today, the band – of which Timothy Carroll and Dawson are the core duo – have announced a single launch tour. That’s in addition to their Boy & Bear support and upcoming BIGSOUND showcases.

Kicking off in Byron Bay in October, it'll roll through Queensland, Western Australian, the ACT, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia across the next month. Dates below.

Managed by Jess Beston at Tiny Monster, signed to Sony imprint Wonderlick and booked by Stephen Wade at Select Music, the band’s international team is also taking shape. They’ve signed with The Agency Group for both North America (with Rob Zifarelli) and the UK and Europe (with Oliver Ward and Ed Stringfellow).
