"Part lament, part celebration, this is a series of real and imagined scenarios and tales all about what it was, is, and could be to be a member of a band called The Beasts Of Bourbon."
It was announced back in November that seminal Aussie rockers Beasts Of Bourbon were set to release a new album under the name The Beasts following the passing of Brian Hooper and Spencer P Jones earlier in 2018.
The band played their last show under the Bourbon moniker in April 2018, reforming for a benefit for Hooper. Frontman Tex Perkins reportedly then "hit upon the idea of getting all of the band’s members, past and present into a recording studio with no particular agenda other than to do just that".
Today, The Music is premiering the album titled Still Here, which features Perkins, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Pola, Charlie Owen and Kim Salmon.
"As a response to two members passing and at the end of a mighty history that’s both myth and reality, ‘The Beasts Still Here’ takes the listener on a journey through the mindsets and hearts of band members past, present, dead and alive," shares Salmon.
"Part lament, part celebration, this is a series of real and imagined scenarios and tales all about what it was, is, and could be to be a member of a band called The Beasts Of Bourbon. Don’t Pull Me Over, What The Hell Was I Thinking, Its All Lies…. string the titles, get the picture!"
