Ahead of the April release of his new EP, Distant Land, Canadian-born-Australian-based artist Garrett Kato has been announced as the latest signing to the Lemon Tree Music roster.
Having just supported Damien Rice on his headline tour of the country, Kato is now gearing up for his EP release, due out 12 April.
Kato joins the Lemon Tree Music roster which already boasts a number of big acts including Tash Sultana, Pierce Brothers and Maddy Jane.
“We are thrilled to be working with Garrett,” Lemon Tree Music co-founder Regan Lethbridge said.
“His writing speaks for itself and we are excited to join the dots globally. Lots of releases and touring planned for the next two years and beyond.”

The singer-songwriter-producer has already racked up 20 million streams worldwide streams on Spotify and holds a publishing deal with Sony ATV.
“I’m excited to be joining such an amazing group of artists and managers by signing to Lemon Tree Music,” Kato said.
“Since my roots are from busking on street corners in Byron, I couldn’t ask for a better fit.”
