Shihad discover Ozzy's pre-game listening habits
Black Sabbath's tour of New Zealand and Australia has kicked off across the ditch and we've got and inside look at what it's like being on the road with Ozzy and co – thanks to Shihad.
The adopted-Australian (read: New Zealand) rockers are keeping us a tour diary as they support one of their favourite bands of all time around NZ and Australia.
With the world tour kicking off in Auckland, the band's Tom Larkin has filed the first report from the road today. Apparently Osbourne smashes Monty Python soundtracks while warming up.
“Sabbath has been pivotal to our career and a real soundtrack to our lives from our early teens (For Karl, his mum was serving up Sabbath listening sessions since he was in the womb),” he writes, “and the fact that Ozzy is blasting the soundtrack to Monty Python's Life of Brian through the walls of our dressing room and Iommi can be heard warming up for three hours before showtime makes the experience both familiar, normal and yet surreal.”
